    Suncamp Awning

    Post  chris1429 on Sat Feb 25, 2012 10:32 am

Hi everyone I am now the proud owner of a 98 Dandy Designer, I wonder if anyone can help as I have a suncamp awning left from my caravan days, which is easy for me to put up on my own. Does anyone know how I can adapt this to fit with out any permanent changes to the Dandy.

on your dandy, caravan awnings may be difficult to fit to a designer unless its the porch type then thats a different story which type do you have.

Take a look at this thread and see if it's possible to adapt the poles to hook over the Dandy, it would all depend on the size of the awning really.

    Hi Mike,

It is a Suncamp Scenic Porch Awning. It has the small flexible poles that cross over the top. Any ideas as to how to fix it to the Dandy? I have thought perhaps of attaching ties but not sure if this will work.

Could you sew a strip on the roof where the bead is that goes in the caravan channel this could then tuck under the dandy roof and tie in place the same as the original awning did.
