    UK Campsite Information and Reviews

We arrived Friday night at 6pm, struggled at first to find it as you drive down coots lane and approach farm buildings and feel you have gone too far, a quick call to the owners confirms it is just beyond these.

Met at the entrance by the owners Dianne and Karl, lovely greeting and offered a drink, given the booking form which we were told to complete when we can then given a tour of the site. Karl walked with us to the pitch, explained where the water and electric hookups were and even where the sun rose and set so we could position the dandy appropriately (we never bothered as we dont expect much sun this weekend). Karl then stuck round and helped us to set up and explained a bit of the history of the site. More information about this is in the washing up area and they are very proud of their site which is obvious in there attention to detail.

I will follow this post with pictures of the land and the facilities which whilst reasonably basic are very clean and tidy with lots of homely touches.

Hi Again, sat in the dandy waiting for a storm to pass so here are a few pictures.

    Firstly the site

Very spacious with lots of electric and water points

They have planted a lot of trees which are still saplings however there are some established trees including fruit trees and we were placed in a surrounded corner to protect us from any wind. The welcome pack states that you are welcome to help yourself to any fruit on the trees as long as you leave some for everyone else.

The toilet and shower block is a portakabin building with ladies and gentlemens facilities. It is well maintained and very clean inside.

The site is Adult only and is very quiet at night, it is just a short walk from the village pub which we shall be visiting tonight.

Looks lovely Shaun, have a great time at the pub ......... sounds ideal and we wish we were there too.

I've added the site to the Dandy Campers site review map
