just got a Dandy :-)

Post by iancrimbo on Wed 09 May 2012, 10:55 pm

Hi all, just picked up my first Dandy. Bought of ebay..... A Dandy Dart i believe. Had to take it straight to storage yard :-( until I get front garden sorted out for parking spot. Sadly it is not a real old retro model but hopefully will be able to personalise it a little. Ian.

Hi Ian Having any Dandy, old or new is ace. I'm sure you'll find many ways to personalise it, I'm looking forward to seeing pics of it as and when.

Hello Ian. Nothing unfortunate about newer Dandies. I own both. A 1960's 4 (Green Un) and a 1990 Designer.
Both are lovely in different ways. Do you own a classic vehicle or exhibit at a shows where you would prefer an older Dandy?
What is it that you have bought? What are you going to use it for?

Hi Ian.
We have just bought a 1990 Designer today, he needs quite a bit of wrtk, but that is part of the fun.
It is our 5th Dandy. Going to give him a good clean tomorrow.
The upholstery needs cleaning, does anybody have advice on what to use for this, as i don't want to get it too damp. Thanks.
