Got one of these last year, excellent bit of kit if it's the same one. Unusual to find 240v and 12v for this price.

Cool boxes are continuously running normally cool to ever how many degrees below the ambient temp, so at night they often freeze so are best turned off, and on a mega hot day they aren't as cold, whereas a fridge will cool down to a set temperature and maintain it 24 hours a day.

Regards the number of degrees a cool box cools down by, I'm not sure, not much help I know.

If i remember correctly most go to 16 or 18 below ambient obviously the 18 would be best but dont know about this one,if the temperature is 25 then one will run at 9 and the other at 7 we have a 18 below and find it ok most of the time,we also have a 3 way fridge now for summer use.

We're really lucky with ours it's a bit noisy at times but cools down to 25 degrees below ambient.
