Delilah the Dandy 6

Post by MrsG on Sun 27 May 2012, 7:00 pm

Ben & I inherited Delilah early 2011 from his parents, who had commissioned her to be built in 1989. She is completely original and was very well looked after.
I was not entirely sold after the suggestion, being a tent lover myself, I did not understand why anyone would want this folding contraption! Let me tell you I was WRONG....I have totally fallen in love with her and grab any excuse to get away for a weekend, be it -10 or +30.

This is a photo from our trip to devizes in January this year...

A couple from April this year when we had a spat of lovely weather....

Ben giving Delilah a once over before we pack her up for our trip home :-)

We have plans to bring her into the 21st century still being sympathetic to her originality. Sadly, a few bits and bobs have become tired and fatigued and necessitate an update.

Looking forward to showing her off to you all cheers

We don't clean her everytime, mainly we are in a rush to get going - on this occasion however, she was under a tree and quite sappy....wanted to get the sap off Smile

It isn't that clean. I think the pictures make it look better than it is.

Sorry it's nothing as fancy as a chimney. It's an upturned bucket which I have put on top of the awning to dry in the sun.
