Blooming wheels and tyres.

Post by abc5575 on Mon 18 Jun 2012, 7:35 pm

Hi Tow Itch. Thanks for info.
We have now ordered the wheels and tyres from trailertrek. Fingers crossed that they are the right ones, O/H did ring them to check before ordering.
This is the first time that we have had to order tyres for a Dandy, all the rest had almosst new tyres,
Thanks again.

Hi all.
Tested Desmond Designer appliances( new gas-pipe fitted) everything working fine, including the heater. O/H has repaired the folding kitchen, and taken measurements to order the table pole, the table he is making himself.
Need to find some way of fixing the velcro to the trailer, always have had this prob in the past with the Dandies.
Portable toilet arrived today, it seems ok, and is a good height for O/H.
Now just waiting for the wheels to arrive. Looking forward to taking him out. Smile

I have ordered some magnetic strip to use instead of velcro, should hopefully make a better job, will post when I get it and try it.

Hi Shaun. Will be grateful if you can let us know how the magnetic strip goes.
Was wondering how it fixes to the PVC?

My theory is it sticks with its adhesive like velcro but without as much force holding it together should just fall apart on folding. It might need a bit of contact adhesive if the adhesive isnt good enough.

Hi Shaun, I hope it works, as velcro is a pain
O/H wondered if the wind was strong enough, would it not part the magnetic strip?
Have the newer Dandy models still got velcro?
