Just saying hello

Post by zedcred on Fri 22 Jun 2012, 9:39 pm

Hi everyone, can I congratulate you on a very informative site.
I'm off to view an old orange Dandy 4 tomorrow in Wellingborough, I've read the what to look out for post and am quite excited.
There are five of us, me, my wife and three children aged 9, 7 and 5. I realise a four berth will be a little tight but we wont mind :-)
I drive a Fiat Multipla and belong to their owners club and am looking forward to our next camp hopefully turning up with a Dandy under tow.

Take Care all

Got one

Post by zedcred on Wed 27 Jun 2012, 8:45 pm

We've done it! we are now the proud owners of an old 1970's Dandy 4 Very Happy
Went and viewed it again today, checked it over and decided it was a good honest example, a little tired here and there but pretty good considering its age. Will go and pick it up over the weekend and set to cleaning it up and making it our own.
First trip to Little Staughton campsite is booked and then a longer trip to Swanage.
We are so excited Very Happy

Hi Mrs Z and welcome to the forum, have to admit my first impression of a Dandy wasn't that good either but I had only looked outside one ....... saw inside and was told we could pack wet and I was hooked.

YES me too when we first went to look they didnt put it up as they had cars on drive etc so we very nearly dismissed it! Then yesterday we went back and it was up when we arrived and yes I was amazed how roomy and comfy it was inside and I have to admit I was hooked too lol!

Hi Mr & Mrs Z.
We too have just bought our latest Dandy Desmond is our 5th)
He needs sprucing up, and as I type O/H is repairing the kitchen units, as they are a bit 'wobbly'
He has been busy today, he has fitted a new carpet, and the new wheels which only arrived at 6.30 last night.
Welcome

this is how I upload pictures

to upload simply choose the Host it option, browse for your picture then click host, this will bring up several boxes with codes highlight the text in the second box titled image code and go to page - copy and then you can just paste it directly onto your message you can then preview before you post to make sure you are happy with how it looks. Dont worry if it takes a couple of attempts you will do it in the end and remember to use your page tab to copy the code and not the small copy box at the side of it. Its so much easier to do it this way.

would be lovely to see Desmond Very Happy

Hi Phoenix, but where 'is' paste?
I post a lot on Preloved on pets etc, on there it is just add photo, browse, click on pic, open, then that is it.
I am just having terrible probs with copy and paste.
