Well I could get all prissy and say     it's nothing to do with Christmas but then that was overrun by thoughts that: I've not listened to Transformer (The Lou Reed Album that this is from) in ages. This was a masterwork by the BBC. God it's good. As Lou Reed said "I have never been more impressed with a performance of one of my songs."  Then just reflecting on the tenderness of the song which caused a weepy moment or ten. This was juxtaposed with the remembrances of Christmas past courtesy of Aunty Beeb. Then the strangest thought "If this is all BBC how did the Coke comercial get tagged on at the end?

When I said it was a masterwork by the BBC I realised I'd never thought who the producer was. Because that was the masterstroke. Sadly or not it was a group of music for ads producers. Do look at these examples though as the quality does show through. You will have to permit Quicktime Player. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I do know of the wasted day, drug addled subscript for Perfect Day. I don't personally believe in that see: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] think it's just a desperately sweet song from someone who........ Please fill in the sentence as you feel fit     Though I'd declare myself as a socialist many would be confused by my conservative (Small c) attitude to many things though I hardly think it to be particularly libertarian to think that ECT therapy is a little over the top in "treating" someones homoseual tendancies. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] As much as I despair at things that happen now I do wonder if we have always done horrible things to people and it is just a musical chairs situation where we wait for the music to stop to see which group of people we do evil things to next.
Which might be a suitable thought about humanity at Christmas.

As someone who is fond of the odd drink I'm still puzzled wondering how many have drunk sangria in the park though.
