Has anyone considered a roof frame for there Dandy to carry the extras or is there one that is already available?

I'll take a look and find some pictures, we have some on here of a rack for bikes and Mike had an extra deep cover made so he can carry more on top Very Happy

Cool, thanks again Helen! Are they custom made or is it a off the shelf affair?

I know someone made their own out of wood and it was great, I think Riva may have done one or two but am not that sure so I expect it's a DIY job if you really want one.

As Helen said i opted for a deeper cover it depends if you need to keep the extra items dry.

You'd also have to consider the weight of the frame too, a deep cover means you can carry more on top and it's not adding too much weight before you even add your extra items. Smile

The 96 brochure mentions a bike/boat rack as an optional extra but no details.

I have an idea for one as soon as I can find a fabricator to make it without costing more than my Dandy Rolling Eyes

A 96 brochure? Could you scan and send photos? Never seen factory photos of the early Highside Destinys.

Ian notionally did a few but was a bit iffy about encouraging users to go over weight. Hang on 96 is pre Ian being in charge???

Ian has no issues about the structural integrity of a Dandy if you up the suspension to 750Kg.

So carry bars are OK on uprated suspension Dandys.

Keep an eye out on eBay one or two crop up on there for other campers they might suit if of suitable dimensions.

Hang on this is all a bit wonky. The first part of this is Navver. Then I selected quote and his and my comment have become one.

Tow Itch.

Or may be I hit edit first time round.

1st ever moderation and it's a stuff up. How typical.

Well tow itch Roof frame. 2170595768 Roof frame. 1705467399

I'm not too concerned about weight as if it's that heavy it'll go in/on the T4 just thought it would give that extra option.

My Dandy Discovery has four tubes (2 each side) bolted to the Dandy with threaded holes like the bed supports, to fit a luggage rack which i presume would be two u shaped bars with cross members. Pete
