Hello from Somerset.

Post by petethebeer on Wed 28 Aug 2013, 9:33 pm

Hello,

I've just started using the forum this week. Lots of helpful advice.

We got hold of our first Dandy this June, a brown four from 1982, and have had some great trips away over the summer. My partner and I both come from a climbing background so most of our previous camping had been in tiny mountaineering tents. We discovered this spring that they just aren't that great for camping with a baby! The Dandy has tons of room for us, the baby, and the dog. We love it, and so do the baby and the dog!

Just this week I've bought a five from a forum member. We're picking it up this Saturday. This one has an underfloor heater! Our drive isn't big enough to start a collection though, so I better stop at that...

I'm sure I'll have some questions to ask at some point. I'll put some photos up of our Dandy, and our trips away, once my first week is up (I think I read that I can't post photos till then).

Thanks
Pete Beer

Caz,
The little baby is 8 months, the little dog is 10 years. The dandy four is from 1982, so 31!

I think my first week will be over before I have time to post photos anyway, I'm busy today and we're picking up the new five at the weekend, so I should be able to do it direct on Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
