Without any personal knowledge I'd use UKcampsite [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] with the proviso that I'm sure that the more euntrepornurial site owners use friends, family, and or anyone to masarege their reviews.

Late Aug or early Sept, how far south does the midge terror extend?

The Terror Midges of Scotland

Post by Hodge on Wed 16 Jul 2014, 9:19 pm

Thanks Tow Itch. That's a good site- lists lots of camping places.
I think (hope) that the terror midges are confined to the West coast and we are planning to tour up the East. BUT must do more research on that one!
You are right about them though- August is not a good month and I get bitten really easily too.

Think your spell checker is on 'German' mode!
