The Happisburgh Owls

Post by Phoenix on Mon 29 Sep 2014, 10:59 pm

Mrs P has always had a love for Owls, so some friends of ours arranged a trip out today to the home of the Happisburgh Owls. If anyone camps down on the north Norfolk coast any time we can highly recommend a visit there especially if you too have a love for these creatures. It was a privilege to be able to be so close to them and have them sitting on your arm.

Amazing. Zeus looks quite weighty on your arm.

She was amazing to look at and hold. Yes she was quite weighty. She is a 6 year old European Eagle Owl. She didn't want to let go and return to her stand which means she liked me.

This one, Arctic a 2 year old snowy owl was quite weighty too.

They are magnificent, I think we sometimes imagine Owls to be smaller birds. Smile
