I am delighted to announce that Shaun aka Shaunjuk has kindly stepped forward to offer his time to run the forum which I am happy for him to do so.
I appear to be the last founding member left running this forum,so with Shaun on board steadying the ship hopefully he can reinvigorate the number 1 forum for Dandy campers.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I think it is important to remember the admins don't run the forum its the members that run the forum.

We need to hear what your up to, where you going, where you have been, what work your doing on your dandy, what work you want to do on your dandy.

I have set up a Facebook group for Dandy Campers but I am still to decide how to properly use it. We don't want information on there that isn't on here however having a presence on the biggest social network site in the world is a must.

We need people with specialist knowledge to step forward and moderate various parts of the forum too, what are you good at? You don't need to give up your life to us but maybe log in every couple of hours.....joke! Just log in a few times a week and make sure your section is running smoothly.

Any ideas let us know

Shaun

If it was possible to link the forum with facebook so that if you posted on one it appeared on the other, that would be ideal, but i don't know if that's possible.

I don't think it is, there is some sort of integration which I will look into.

At the moment I am sorting out the forum to make it simpler, less is more as they say. If weird things happen I have hit the wrong button please bare with me.

I'm still here, I pop in from time to time to see what's happening. It's good to see the forum active again cheers

Still have my Dandy and have recently been away in it but didn't do much up until this May, some people already know I had surgery at Christmas. John almost died with Legionnaires in Feb, it's left him with a heart problem and other health issues and in March my brother finally had a brain tumor removed, really pleased to say he's doing well but has a long way to go. You can probably understand why I've not been active.

We managed to put the Dandy up ourselves including the awning, hubby is still off work so we will no doubt be using it again fairly soon Very Happy

Welcome to the post, Shaun and many thanks for taking it on. Here's hoping that your plans to re-invigorate the site bears fruit. We should all be appreciative of the work our voluntary admin members do. I can only imagine that it can be an onerous task, even if you do have IT skills. All power to your tapping fingers!

Helen, good to hear that you're still around. I seem to have missed a lot in the last twelve months. Here's hoping that you can now wave goodbye to the family's illheath problems and get the chance to embrace the more fun and less worrying side of life.

Hello
Congratulations and thanks to Shaun with thanks also to Nick.
Whilst of minor upset compared to others on the forum I had a bit of further grief post the bouts of vertigo. Also had more grief with the laptop.
Gained 2nd laptop but by that point had got overwhelmed by the thoughts of what I had missed on here.

Sorry to those I've let down. Which unfortunately is something I'm quite good at.

I will try to ease myself back in, if I'm still wanted.

Thanks again to Nick and Sean.

Away for ages then starts to pick fault on return! Just noticed that our clock is all to cock, no idea how to alter it. Shaun, Nick any idea?

Welcome back Kevin

Check your location settings on your profile. We did have a small problem with the clock which I fixed and it's showing correct for me now.

I believe if you don't have a location set it might default to the server time zone

Welcome back Titch, we have really missed you. No-one can do the really in depth replies like you can, there's a lot of info in that noddle of yours.

Good to see you back TI.

Both wanted and needed I would say.

It's been a chore having to search back through your old posts when I've needed information, rather than just being a lazy sod and asking again Razz

Following Shaun's advice, I've now managed to fix the time on my posts (I hope). It's 'Timezone' on the 'Preferences' page as opposed to 'Location' on the initial page of the profile that you need.

Setting it to 'London' appears to be what's required.

It is lovely but what the heck has happened to it, this morning all I could see when logged in was jibberish. Now the blue is missing and everything is messed up but at least I can read stuff and post. Crying or Very sad

I haven't got that but everything has changed and is now very small. It has been changing over the last couple of weeks so maybe the forum runners are making changes.

Normally when the hosts are doing something the site says down for maintenence/upgrade or something similar but I still have all this which I'm sure is temporary but admin need to know in case there are others seeing the same thing ....... perhaps I just have forum OCD and don't see why everything has to keep changing.
