Hi welcome to the forum, can't wait to see your dandy and see what it has to offer. Feel free to ask for any advice you need. We have a great bunch of helpful members.

Your quote is so true with a dandy. I sold my Dandy 5 with plans to get something bigger in the future. We missed it so much the future came sooner than we thought and we had a dandy 6 within a couple of weeks.

Congratulation on your new acquisition and on joining the Dandy fold.

We started with an early 90s Designer, and I still think this model offers the best overall balance of everything that's great about Dandys.

You've picked up on the fact that we're slightly obsessive about photos - looking forward to seeing yours in due course Smile

Hi JayAnn and welcome. We've got a designer which I love but the wife wants a shower etc. Still pondering on that one but a plan is forming.

Yours must be the low side destiny without a fridge. They are just so roomy with a lovely open feel.

Oops ... for some inexplicable reason I read the OP as a Designer rather than a Destiny silent

I'm intrigued Shocked

I recall you managed to accommodate a loo solution ... but I don't think a Dandy shower solution has been documented anywhere. I have on occasion had a fleeting thought that the highside Destiny loo compartment could be adapted into a shower cubicle, but I've purposefully avoided any plans forming Smile

Wow ... it looks like you've bagged a superb unit there JayAnn Cool I hope you have lots of happy times with her.

Those curtains add an extra touch of class to what is obviously a well cared for Dandy.

Are the black circular things under the table loudspeakers? If so, what drives them?

The clock looks very in keeping with the style of the camper, did that come with it?

Well thanks. Yes they are speakers. There is a little box under the sofa to wire in a car radio. It's not got one though. She's in brilliant condition, can't wait to get her out on adventures now. We have named her Dotty. The clock was in the storage bay under the seats. Just a normal clock with a 'C' clip screwed to it. Quite novel really.

What a beautiful Dandy Jayann and so well cared for by the look of her.
Enjoy her for many years to come in her new "forever" home.

Thank you Sanjo, she really is a prime example of these incredible campers. We love it. Our daughter won't stay out of it. She's watching a film in there at the moment. Can't wait to get out and adventure now

Well it's been a busy time this weekend getting Dotty spring cleaned and tinkered with. Going to load her up with essentials during this week ready for her first outing in a few weeks time. Still dreading the awning though as we haven't even seen it unpacked and no room to open it up argh!
Wish us luck on that one lol.

Does the awning have zip out sides Jayann? That would make it lighter (although still cumbersome I feel)
We only put ours up once in 11 years and like a lot of other owners bought a lightweight porch awning.
Ours isn't even enclosed. We did once have water cascading through the door so we improvised when we got home and have very neatly (if I do say so myself) attached curved rubber over the door which prevents water coming in through the top. The awning was a belt and braces approach by the other half to keep me from fretting that it would happen again.
Easy to put up, throw it up and over the roof, comes almost to the ground. Attach two poles with guys and we have protection for the immediate area.
Put up a windbreak and we're covered.

We have both an awning and a suncanopy and admit the suncanopy is easier to put up but the awning is worth the effort, once it's pegged down it's going nowhere Very Happy I think it's reputation of being heavy is earned but once over the bars it's just like any other awning that needs pegging.
