I take John to wash up Labour saving tips when camping 3498837457

My other tip would be not to collect too much stuff for your Dandy, you have to pack it all away........ If you don't really use it then leave it at home.

* Take food that has previously been cooked, then just heat it up.

* Cous cous will cook in a jug of boiling water, pop it in and forget about it for a few mins, no need to simmer - saves gas.

* Keep clothes in the clothes bag, saves unpacking and packing. But don't take things that need ironing.

Baby Wipes, Baby Wipes, a few more Baby Wipes and a couple of rolls of kitchen roll. Good for making washing up easier in bad weather, personal hygiene in bad weather and wiping down any surface that gets dirty at any time, eg worktops, cookers, children and dogs.

Just extending on a couple of topics:-

Leave clothes in the clothes bag, period. I don't go camping to be the height of sartorial elegance. Look at spare clothes as emergency clothes and whilst we're on the subject nobody needs so many pairs of shoes. Crocs and boots are enough. You don't need to get changed to go to the bin! (or is this purely a male point of view.)

Jug kettle eggs are an art form! I've done it but it makes me very nervous wondering what will be revealed when you open the kettle and how much kettle cleaning is going to follow.

not really labour saving but cost saving tip for camping,
i save all the big plastic charity bags the get posted through the door and use them for bin liners when camping
also any miniature free samples from the supermarket i have Tabasco sauce,
toothpaste, deodorant shower gel etc
and for a carrying less point of view for washing up a scrubber that the washing up liquid fills up in the handle so no need to take a bottle away with you

We get the cheap disposable bbq's then to save bending we put them in the bottom tray of our bbq, 2 are the perfect fit. It makes it easy to clean the bbq, we just pull the tinfoil trays out and chuck in a bin bag ....... hey presto no cleaning out the ashes. Very Happy

We sometimes stick a fire log on after the bbq and the remains stay in the foil trays, well almost all but it's easier than not using them.

or find a local pub that serves good food at reasonable prices cheers

We do take wipes like Steve, not only baby wipes but flash wipes too ......... John has a tendency to not seal the package properly though and then they dry out .......... a quick spray with water to re-hydrate and they work fine.
