jafter a 3 night stay at Doe Park,Barnard Castle. The site is 4* and it's a very good, the people that run the site are welcoming and chatty, the site was clean and very well maintained. We paid £14.50 per night inc EHU,awning Hardstanding,2cars and a Dog.The site doesn't cater for regular tents just motorhomes, caravans and trailer tents. The site seemed very popular over the weekend but died off sunday lunchtime, even when nearly full the facilities were never busy and the site was quiet day and night. There are dedicated dog walks and also local walks just behind the site that lead to various villages. In the Area is High Force a 70ft waterfall,Barnard Castle and Raby Castle plus the fells of the pennines. It was a nice place to stay and explore,we will certainly return hopefully the weather will be kinder to us next time.

After spending a week here I can only endorse Vicky's review, owners very helpful, friendly and chatty, especially Alison and her father-in-law. Good bus service from the gate to Barnard Castle and Middleton during the day (useful for those of us with passes Smile ). New last week was the Battered Cod fish and chip van on thursdays, we have had the same van at the C&CC site down the road and he is very good Smile We will return cheers
