What do you need to get this year

Post by mike on Sat 21 Jan 2012, 11:59 am

With the addition soon of a transit cover with deeper sides i should be able to carry more stuff on top of the dandy so may get a waste water container on wheels the brown one gets a bit heavy at times.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Thinking i may fit a water foot pump as i still dont want to mess about with 12 volt

Going to take my own advice and get a stabiliser

Will also be looking into some of the under bed plastic storage boxes for carrying stuff in but under the dandy cover instead of in the car.

Have you any purchases in mind for this year

Top of my list is

TOW BAR
Smile

number plate
some sort of security for Dandy
vacuum storage bags
some sort of pump that can run of car / electrics that is suitable for inflation / deflation of tyres and other items.

once I can get the thing up (ooer) then I can get in about her.
but with the wind up my way it would prob end up in Devon by Sunday.

Our shopping list this year is massive, we need:-

2 green cups.

And 5 new tyres for the classic.

Vicki & Nick, your new car looks nice, i'm sure your doggy will love it. Laughing

Your right, we were looking at a high quality plastic. Rolling Eyes We've already got red and blue ones, but it would be nice if they matched the Dandy, I blame Helen for that. lol!

But thanks for the link.

i think wre going to be looking for cream cushions and curtains for the destiny. Far too much dark blue in there at the moment. They really didnt think the colour/space thing through did they. A BLOKEY mistake that!!!! Very Happy
Obviously not me who spooted said mistake!! lol.
also on shopping list, freeview tv, and maybe a portable satalite dish. We did however say NO!!!!!! to tv when camping to the kids. But this isn't just camping......
Also thinking of stabelizer too. Cheap one anywhere?

We dont bother with a tv but with kids and perhaps bad weather why not,try towsure for a stabiliser the alko one is nice but its a pain as you can not allow any grease or oil to get on your tow ball, and that means they can rust and you dont want that either.

Just remembered we need one of those handles to pull the Dandy with. It's one of those things you forget until your struggling to turn or pull the Dandy on soft ground or shale.

It's not too far from us, we are lucky though as there is another camping place that is within striking distance too. Camperlands at Northenden (it's a treasure trove) and we really enjoy spending time there, I always seem to find something we really really need and can't go camping without Laughing
