Ours is stored under the Dandy Cazz, it's not in a cage just a threaded bar metal disc and bolt.

John and another Dandy that I have seen pics of have them on the side of their Dandy's dropped into what looks like a metal strip with straps across. This link shows another one with spare on the side. I have only seen this done with Dandy's with external wheels and never with recessed, probably because it will affect the width.

If you decide to put yours on the Dandy, I would put it just under the trailer cover in some sort of protective bag, lots of Dandy's get permanently marked from spare wheel stains.

I don't know if you have a locker on the A frame of your Dandy but could you find some way of fixing the spare to that, or to the frame perhaps even that end of the Dandy

Split this from the wheel arches thread as it is something that deserves it's own and will be more visible to people looking. Smile

That's interesting and if it would work it would be a really simple option, ours is under the Dandy but it can be a struggle to get it off.

Were you considering drilling the existing frame or welding plate on to form suitable brackets?

You may have to change things some how as that's meant for a single draw bar in box section running central you may have to bolt a box section across the aframe. If you bolted it to one side of the aframe it could lead to a twisting effect, not sure of any of this but just my observations.
